D.I.O.
D.I.O. is a Rap/R&B artist born in New Jersey but spent his childhood back and forth from the Bronx to Atlantic City. At an early age, D.I.O. became a huge fan of hip-hop through his aunt Liz. “All she use to play was Eminem, Biggie, Nas, & Fab. I couldn’t believe these guys were that good.” D.I.O. also likes to show his melody and song writing side on R&B tracks. His albums are always mixed with different sounds. “I’m a huge fan of artist that can do more than just rap or sing because managing both at a high level is such a challenge. Drake of course is the greatest at it and opened the door for a lot of artist to just take risk and be themselves.” D.I.O. will continue to grow and show there’s more sounds he has in store. SKŸ, Born Khari Harley March 29th, 1995, Pomona, New Jersey, never once thought music would be his path and apart of his purpose. Ever since he could remember he knew he wanted to play basketball and go the NBA. Eventually Attending Division 1 Ohio University to further that dream but Life had other plans and that dream was never fully realized. After dedicating most of his life to basketball he needed something else to dedicate himself to, be passionate about, and obsess over when it comes to perfecting a craft and that became music.
Since then through trials, tribulations and self doubt. He came to a place where he was finally ready to believe in himself and chase another far off dream with an even greater hunger than in his old life of pursuing professional basketball. With the first piece art as well as himself he released to the world with his first project, “PURPLE SKY”. It was the culmination of faith and trust in himself as well the universe around him. PURPLE SKY is the introduction to SKŸ as he exists in the past, present, and future and his ruminations through the scars of war. His journey is one of Wisdom, Learning, Transformation, and Ultimately growth as an artist. He doesn’t know where he will end up but like every shooting star it will be a sight to see.
